The best social media tools for car dealerships: an honest list of 8

Eight social media tools car dealers use, compared honestly: who each suits, networks, dealer features and starting prices checked on each tool’s site.

Published 10 min read

Key takeaways

  • There is no single best tool: the right one depends on your country, who does the work and what you need beyond posting.
  • US and Canadian dealers with a supported inventory feed get the most automation from a dealer-specific tool such as CARVID.
  • Dealer groups that need an inbox, approvals and many networks are well served by general schedulers such as Sendible or Hootsuite.
  • Quevix suits dealers who want the AI to write and design posts, in English, Arabic, French, Italian or Spanish, from a listing link.

Looking for the best social media tools for car dealerships usually means one of two things: a tool that posts your stock for you, or a scheduler that keeps a busy team organised. This list covers both: eight tools, with who each suits, where it publishes, its dealer features and its starting price.

A social media tool for car dealerships is software (or a service) that plans, creates and publishes posts about your cars, offers and team to networks such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Quevix, the AI social media scheduler for car dealers, is one of the tools on this list. So we say plainly where the others are stronger, and the list is grouped by type, not ranked.

What is the best social media tool for a car dealership?

The best social media tool for a car dealership is the one that fits your market, who does the work and what you need beyond posting. A US dealer with a DMS feed gains most from inventory automation. A dealer group needs approvals and an inbox; a showroom posting in Arabic, French or Spanish needs AI that writes in them.

Here are all eight side by side, with starting prices in US dollars from each site on 23 October 2026.

How we picked the best social media tools for car dealerships

We started from the tools named most often in recent “best tools for car dealers” lists, including Sendible’s and PostPlanify’s, and added two dealer-specific tools, CARVID and SOCIALDEALER.

Every fact about another tool comes from its own website (pricing page, features page or help centre), checked on 23 October 2026. Where a site did not state something, we say so rather than guess.

Dealer-specific tools

These three are built around selling cars. They differ most in where they work and who does the posting.

CARVID

CARVID is built for US and Canadian dealers (its home page counts dealerships “across the U.S. and Canada”). It pulls your stock automatically from an inventory system and posts it to Facebook Marketplace and short-video networks.

  • Who it suits: North American dealers whose stock lives in a supported system such as HomeNet, vAuto, Dealer.com or DealerSocket.
  • Publishes to: Facebook Marketplace, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Google Business Profile, plus LinkedIn, Pinterest, X and Bluesky.
  • Dealer features: inventory sync, Marketplace posting that removes sold cars, AI walkaround videos from photos, a sales rep intro, captions in English and Spanish, and an AI inbox.
  • Starting price: Lite is free (manual Marketplace posting, three a day); Solo Dealer was $249 a month and Growth Dealer $499.
  • Limitation: built around North American inventory systems and two languages, and video-first rather than designed image posts. See Quevix vs CARVID.

Quevix

Quevix writes the caption, designs the image or reel and schedules it. It works in any country, from a listing link rather than an inventory feed.

  • Who it suits: showrooms and used car dealers that want posts made for them, especially where captions in Arabic, French, Italian or Spanish matter.
  • Publishes to: Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, Threads, LinkedIn profiles and pages, and TikTok. Pinterest and YouTube are in development.
  • Dealer features: link to post reads a listing’s facts and photos; dealer templates such as “Just arrived” and “Price drop” fill in from your brand kit; the reel maker turns photos into reels; sales agents put a salesperson’s photo and WhatsApp on posts.
  • Starting price: a free plan; paid plans are on pricing.
  • Limitation: no DMS sync, Marketplace, ads, inbox or reviews, and no X, YouTube, Pinterest or Google Business Profile publishing today.

SOCIALDEALER

SOCIALDEALER describes itself as a “Digital Marketing Agency Servicing Automotive Dealers”. It is a service, not software you run: its coordinators and designers create your content.

  • Who it suits: US dealers who would rather hand social media to an agency; its site says it serves clients “throughout the United States”.
  • Publishes to: Facebook, including Marketplace, is named; the site does not list which other networks its organic service covers.
  • Dealer features: inventory, service and community posts made for you, paid social, Marketplace and Craigslist listings, and review monitoring.
  • Starting price: not published; the site asks you to request a demo.
  • Limitation: US only, and a managed service gives you less day-to-day control. See Quevix vs SOCIALDEALER.

General schedulers dealers use

These tools are not built for cars, but they appear in most lists of dealer tools. You bring the photos and designs; they plan, publish and report.

Buffer

  • Who it suits: a single store that already makes its own photos and wants a simple, cheap scheduler.
  • Publishes to: 12 networks, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Google Business Profile.
  • Dealer features: none specific; an AI Assistant for text is included on every plan, even Free.
  • Starting price: a free plan for 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel; Essentials from $5 per channel a month billed yearly, Team (with approvals) from $10.
  • Limitation: no dealer templates or inventory features, so every post still starts with media you make. See Quevix vs Buffer.

Hootsuite

  • Who it suits: large dealer groups with a marketing team that needs listening, an inbox and reporting.
  • Publishes to: 11 networks, including Facebook Pages, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp and Google Business Profile.
  • Dealer features: none specific; Standard includes AI posts and images, one inbox and brand monitoring for up to 10 accounts.
  • Starting price: Standard from $99 per user a month billed annually; a 14-day trial with no card.
  • Limitation: priced per user, which adds up quickly for a showroom with several salespeople posting. See Quevix vs Hootsuite.

Later

  • Who it suits: dealers whose social media is mostly Instagram and reels and who like planning visually.
  • Publishes to: Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Snapchat.
  • Starting price: Starter at $18.75 a month billed yearly for one social set, one user and 5 AI credits; approvals from Growth; a 14-day trial.
  • Limitation: no dealer features, and Google Business Profile is not in its list of networks. See Quevix vs Later.

Sendible

Sendible has a page aimed at dealerships and the most dealer-group features of the general tools here.

  • Who it suits: dealer groups and agencies running several rooftops, where head office reviews local posts.
  • Publishes to: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky and Google Business Profile.
  • Dealer features: bulk upload of vehicle photos across dealership pages, approvals from the Plus plan, an inbox that assigns enquiries to a salesperson, and Dynamic Fields that fill each dealership’s address and phone into one post.
  • Starting price: Core at $35 a month, or $29.75 billed yearly, for one workspace with 6 profiles and unlimited users; a 14-day trial with no card.
  • Limitation: no free plan, Dynamic Fields start on the Elite plan ($299 a month), and its own page says Google Business Profile reporting is not available yet.

Social Champ

  • Who it suits: budget teams that want many networks, a social inbox and Google Business Profile reviews.
  • Publishes to: 12 networks, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp Business and Google Business Profile; X is a paid add-on.
  • Dealer features: none specific; Facebook Offers and call-to-action buttons (WhatsApp among them) and post boosting help.
  • Starting price: a free plan (3 accounts, 15 scheduled posts); Starter at $5 per account a month ($4 billed yearly); bundles from $29 a month for 6 accounts.
  • Limitation: no dealer templates or inventory features, and its AI writer’s help page lists no languages. See Quevix vs Social Champ.

Which social media tool should a car dealer choose?

Start from the job you need done:

  • You are in the US or Canada and want stock posted automatically: CARVID, if your inventory system is supported.
  • You want someone else to do it all, including ads: an agency such as SOCIALDEALER (US).
  • You run several rooftops and head office approves posts: Sendible, or Hootsuite if you also need listening.
  • You make your own content and want a cheap scheduler: Buffer or Social Champ.
  • Your social media is mostly Instagram and reels: Later.
  • You want the AI to write and design posts from a listing link, in English, Arabic, French, Italian or Spanish: Quevix. See how it works for car dealerships.

Do car dealers need a dealer-specific social media tool?

Not always. A general scheduler is enough if someone already photographs every car, designs the posts and writes the captions. A dealer-specific tool earns its place when that work is the bottleneck.

Whichever you pick, post stock on your Page as well as on Marketplace: they reach different buyers. See Facebook Marketplace vs Page posts.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest social media tool for a car dealership?

Buffer, Social Champ and Quevix have free plans, and CARVID’s Lite plan is free for manual Marketplace posting. Of the paid plans checked on 23 October 2026, Social Champ and Buffer start lowest, at about $5 per account a month.

Which social media tool posts car inventory automatically?

CARVID syncs stock from supported North American inventory systems and posts it to Facebook Marketplace and short-video networks. Quevix does not sync a feed: you paste a listing link and it builds the post, captions and photos from that page.

Which tools write car captions in Arabic or Spanish?

Quevix writes captions in English, Arabic, French, Italian and Spanish. CARVID lists English and Spanish. We found no mention of Arabic for the other tools’ AI writers on the pages we checked.

Can a social media tool post to Facebook Marketplace?

CARVID posts and removes Marketplace listings, and SOCIALDEALER manages them as a service. General schedulers such as Buffer, Hootsuite and Quevix publish to Facebook Pages, not Marketplace.

Is Quevix the best social media tool for car dealerships?

For dealers who want the AI to write and design posts from a listing link, in English, Arabic, French, Italian or Spanish, it is a strong fit. For automatic inventory feeds, Marketplace, an inbox, reviews or more networks, CARVID, Sendible, Hootsuite or Social Champ are stronger.
